Pratt & Whitney Creates ESP Platinum Coverage for Phenoms

News Release from Pratt & Whitney

Pratt & Whitney has introduced an enhanced level of coverage – known as Platinum – for PW535E/E1 and PW617F-E/F1-E engines enrolled in its Eagle Service Plan (ESP) pay-per-hour engine maintenance solution. These engines power the Embraer Phenom 300/300E and 100/100E/100EV business jets.

“Most notably, ESP Platinum coverage includes environmental repair coverage, an important consideration for Phenom operators, many of whom fly in coastal regions with salt-air environments,” says Tim Swail, vice president, customer programs at Pratt & Whitney. “The market overall has been steadily moving towards more comprehensive coverage and our Phenom customers have been asking that corrosion caused by the operating environment be included. Platinum delivers on that at what we believe to be a very competitive price point.”

Phenom aircraft are lower-utilization aircraft with long periods of flying achieved before scheduled maintenance such as Hot Section Inspections and Overhauls are prescribed. Consequently, comprehensive coverage is attractive to operators to ensure peace of mind and no surprises at shop visits. Comprehensive Platinum coverage for these engines also includes routine periodic inspections (scheduled line maintenance), labor, parts and consumables, and annual engine washes.

“As a signing bonus for enrolling in ESP Platinum for the engines on their Phenom aircraft, we are offering customers a Flyaway Kit that contains a selection of key parts operators might need to manage events in the field to avoid an AOG situation,” said Swail. “This provides an additional margin of coverage that these customers find compelling.”

Pratt & Whitney’s ESP engine maintenance coverage comes with no annual minimums (you only pay when you fly) and is fully transferrable upon the sale of the aircraft.
