The FAA has issued a new AD for the Phenom 300 for the flight control weights referencing SB 505-55-A004.
Embraer had previously released a Service Bulletin (SB 505-55-A004 Stabilizers – Elevator, Aileron and Rudder Mass-Balance and Attachment Parts Inspection and Replacement) to address flight control balance weight corrosion on Phenom 300 aircraft.
We are very familiar with the SB and have already worked through all of the revisions and compliance with a number of our clients.
We encourage Phenom 300 owners/operators to schedule an inspection with us immediately. This time constraint is as little as 3 days or 5 hours, 30 days or 50 hours and 60 days or 100 hours as of July 1, 2020 (depending on the aircraft serial number).
