Jet Access Breaks Ground on New Private Aviation Hangar

Jet Access, the fixed base operator (FBO) at Indianapolis Regional Airport (formerly Mount Comfort Airport – MQJ), broke ground on a 150’ x 150’ hangar that will serve the private and general aviation needs in and around Greater Indianapolis. The expansion will be a premier asset for companies looking to conduct or start new businesses in central Indiana. Indianapolis Regional Airport is located in Greenfield, just east of Indianapolis. The hangar is expected to be completed this fall.

With 22,500 sq. ft. of heated space, the hangar will accommodate large cabin business jets, including Gulfstream G650 and Global Express aircraft. The new hangar will feature infrared tube heating, ground power plug ins and modern LED lighting. Indianapolis Regional Airport currently houses a 13,200 sq. ft. hangar, along with two large corporate hangars.

“There is a significant shortage of hangar space in Indianapolis, and we are uniquely positioned to invest in our operations at Indianapolis Regional Airport,” said Quinn Ricker, Jet Access CEO. “The new hangar will impact a significant sector of the business community – those who are currently doing business in Indianapolis, along with those who are looking to expand in, or relocate business to Indianapolis. The investments we are making at all of our Indiana locations are a steppingstone for economic growth for the region.”

Jet Access recently announced a merger with Eagle Creek Aviation and First Wing Jet Center to leverage their unique positions within the industry to create a national entity and brand capable of providing a full spectrum of private aviation needs with the goal of making Indianapolis a national private aviation hub.

The integrated company employs more than 380 aviation professionals, with the majority based in central Indiana. Jet Access is the 10th largest Part 135 private jet operator in the United States and the only wholly integrated, full-service private aviation enterprise in the country. Jet Access operates 10 FBOs in four states.
